Contrary cats

They have that reputation. And Elle certainly lived up to it today. She loved some people but not me. (Of course, I am the horrid person who grabs her kittens to get treated for . . . .goodness knows what!)

Smooching Elle

We got three more cats today. Two are the cats of the parents of a young woman who can't take over their care now that the parents can no longer do it. Harley, named for the bike, likes baths. (Which reminded me of my first cat, Coco, who liked to join me in the tub. He'd sit on my chest. This was a long time ago. We named him Coco because my father took the family to see The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan as performed by the D'Oyle Carte company. . . . way back in the 1950's or 60's. He was a lovely cat.)

Harley
And his housemate Abby. They will make lovely older cats to adopt.

Abby
Glitter came with them. She is a colony cat who has been rescued and "tamed."

I was surprised when showing around a mother and daughter that Nigel had a pink name tag.

I checked. He is a boy who just happens to have FIV. So I changed his label to a blue one.

Nigel

The visitors liked several others, as well as Nigel. They will return.

In the meantime, Oreo's body language said all there was to say about the weather.
