Cotton felted

You cannot felt cotton. But Cotton, the cat who has just arrived, has a felted coat. It is so severely felted that Lani's professional grooming tool could not cut through the tangles. She had me help her because Cotton has been hiding in his bed box all day so she didn't know how friendly he'd be. He started to purr within seconds of me giving him love to his front end while she buzzed his back end.

That's good because it means that he won't have to be sedated to be groomed. But not good, because it means that Lani needs a new head for her trimmer in order to cut through the felt. They cost $50!

I will try to get a "before" photo on Friday.

Joy got a photo of our Bonnie who is in for boarding. She has grown up lots and is now called Biscuit.

Bonnie/Biscuit

Our other Biscuit's mum Peaches keeps on licking her side. So we put a cone on her today. That may let the itch subside. Or may drive them both crazy.

Peaches

Spirit and her siblings are the only cats in Iso. The other two went to be desexed today (Foxy and Turtle) I drove them along with Shiloh from the stand alone in Transit Lounge. His sister has already been desexed.

Charley visited and spent time with lots of her best friends.

Just one adoption today. Gracie.

I found out how she had been getting out of her stand alone. The tray on the bottom of the stand alone has a portion of its lip missing. She could squeeze through that gap and through the wider bars at the bottom of the stand alone. I fixed it by rotating the tray so that the damaged part is at the back which is pressed up against the stand alone behind it.
