Tonight I thougth he might like a game so I found my bamboo stick with a string attached to the stick at one end and to a couple of feathers tied to a fisherman's rotating fly-thingy. All cats love this toy because the feathers spin around like a damaged bird.
I flipped it beneath his nose as he peeped out from behind his couch. POUNCE.
After a couple of wins for me. And a couple of wins for him, he managed to detatch the feathers and disappeared behind the couch.

I will make another feather wand.
He is a very neat cat (with his litter and food.) And is slowly beginning to trust me and my routines.
