No strike

The traffic was lighter than usual today. The anticipated 3 day train strike was called off last night. Lots of folk must have organised to work from home. Will they work at home tomorrow or come to Safe because they thought they would be stuck at home by the dreadful traffic? Terry will either have a bumper day tomorrow or a very quiet one.

We had one adoption: Angie by her vollie. She was taken home. She didn't like being put in a rather glam, cloth carrier. But allowed herself to be coaxed back into it. The towel she has slept on for several months was tucked over the carrier so she settled down quickly and will have the comfort of being surrounded by her smell. And I won't have to wash that towel!

I was too busy tidying up to take any photos so I will share Joy's lovely ones. (Lola appreciated my efforts of tidying away a delivery of food because it covered her water bowl. She had a long drink when I finished.)

Hobson is the greediest. But Lexie is learning that she will get a bowl all of her own.

I think Camilla recognised me when I arrived with some chicken. She got down from hiding way at the back of her upper shelf to rub me a hello. She is learning. Perhaps we should call her Queenie.

I can't believe that Chelsea is the same cat who hissed, spat and growled when she first came in heavily pregnant. She just wants cuddles these days.

And Sparkle often adopts this pose. But never when there are visitors to be charmed.

Nova's new eye

Since she has moved to Boarding, her left eye has changed. It used to have a white circle on the lower half. Now that has disappeared but it looks as though the front part of her eye has become more spherical rather than being convex outwards. She seems very happy and friendly as ever.

As is Chelsea along at the other end of Boarding. Her kittens don't bolt out of the condo quite as quickly. And she just wants cuddles.

Even Whitney's kittens aren't such quick escape artists.

There were adoptions over the weekend: Akira, Jenni, Cuddlepie and Mystic

Camilla has been moved to Cuddlepie's condo. She was not happy after being moved. But she will get used to her new digs.

She is next to Clyde who rather likes it in Welfare.

Whereas, Robbie can't decide whether or not he likes the change.

All the itchy gingers had a nice long self grooming session under strict supervision. No scratching allowed.
