No touch

 No sign of the lizard today. The junk room was piled with boxes which Sue wrestled open. They contained one cat carrier each. So much packing!

I was on condo sterilizing first thing this morning because it has been discovered that some of the Spice Girls have ring worm lesions. They have gone together in the up and down condo pair in Isolation and their mum is under Australis and co. Bugger. No more playing with kittens in Welfare.

And Rory is back on a special diet so no more giving him lots of treats in exchange for love.

Peaches has settled down into her foster home very well, according to her new mum. And I moved Freya into her condo below Rory because Freya's condo in Incoming was needed for four kittens who arrived this afternoon. That condo was signposted for Mike who is gorgeous enough for folk to go to the end of the row to meet him. Freya is very pretty too so as soon as her collar is off she will be adopted. 

And the kittens who arrived are pretty tame and quite big enough to be desexed. They are Panther (the black one who we named) and Fluffy, Cheeta and ? 

Savannah's collar is off and the lump on her right cheek has gone. The whiskers on that side are growing back as well.

 One of Valentina's kitten was adopted. . . the boy. Her girl is desperate for attention/affection.

Another who also wants attention is Wolfgang. He still pongs a bit but has got his loving ways back.

PC is coming

 on Sunday. So I looked back on the blog to find a photo of him.

Let's hope he looks better when he arrives on Sunday. I fixed up his enclosure (used to be Aslan's) for him as well as I could but it needs a Phillip's screwdriver that we don't have for Geoff to fix the wobbly shelves (a memento of Dorian and Sterling).

No adoptions today but it was busy. Lots of cats have come back from the vet. Including Savannah who has had the lump on her cheek operated upon. She has a long list of meds to take and can't fit her collar over the food bowl.

What a good thing that Sybie was adopted before she had to see her foster mum in such a state.

There were visitors this afternoon looking at Cooper, Flame and Goldie.

 Goldie gets the short straw at mealtimes because of his cone. (He is the boy cat who had to have surgery for his undescended testicle).

 She got adopted yesterday. Sebastian has already moved into her small stand alone.

He has been desexed and is ready to go. Savannah was sprawled out in their condo this afternoon while Sybie was in the bed box by herself. 

 And Tiger has been moved from Incoming to be with his siblings, Dash and Oreo because he has recovered from whatever upset his kidneys. You can tell which of the tabbies is Tiger. He is the one who jumps onto your head when you open the door.

I have noticed that Goosey is very affectionate at dinner time. If you approach her at other times, she does NOT want to know you. But at dinner time she would rather have cuddles than food. 

And since Ravyn has had a harness on, she is much more relaxed. Perhaps it is the prospect of wanders that has taken off the edge. Or just the realization that she is in an enviable position. . . . all that space for just her. Or the vollies who give her treats whenever they approach her.

 Sorry I am late. I got talking to my niece to celebrate my birthday and it went on, and on. 

 It was a quiet Friday. We had one visitor who arrived late (traffic) to adopt Kiki. Both were thrilled and it went smoothly. (Irene took a photo to be posted on the WWB).

I will use Joy's delightful photos of the mums and bubs on Wednesday.

She is still a kitten herself. Somebody Googled when a cat could first get pregnant and Valentine probably was on the theoretical schedule! She is a kitten and has these two great kittens of her own.

Savannah is on heat, again. Her two: Sebastian (her own) and Sybie (given to her after Seb's birth) are both  flu-full. They need a bigger space.

Today Peter and Brock broke out of the Top Cat and had a lovely time running all around Welfare. This is probably their more usual activity than sitting, demurely, in their condo when Joy snapped them.

 As soon I arrived I was asked to tell vollies what to do about the rubbish tins. The last month or two has gone on very well without my interventions. But today, half a dozen of the regular vollies were off sick. Luckily, the remaining few did a splendid job and the Couzen bins are on the sidewalk.

Savannah's little adoptee, Sybie, is putting on weight. She guzzled down her extra feeds today. Her weight has gone up to 370gm! Savannah looks exhausted though and somebody is vomiting or doing very sloppy poos in her condo. (Talking of which, Aslan has just squirted a poo in the litterbox beside my desk. Excuse me for a minute. . or two.)

Be entertained by the kittens who were picked up from the street and brought in this afternoon. They have been farmed out to a bottle feeder. (Irene sent me a video but all I got was a jpeg.)

The guy who is fostering Eli came in. He and Eli are getting on famously. And the woman who adopted LeClerc dropped by to report how well he is getting on. He is entertaining the entire family.

And a woman rang to ask how she could meet our cats. She mentioned being interested in Aslan. We shall see.

Then the family returned who were interested in a ginger cat. . . . Griffin when last they came. But he has gone. So they settled on Max. Irene had spoken to their fosterer and been told that while Milo and Max are good mates, they are not necessarily bonded. So she OK'd them to take Max by himself.

Now Milo has been moved to where Faith was and will probably be adopted over the weekend.

 Sorry, I had a committee meeting that went on and on. Poor Aslan had to watch the blank TV all by himself.

We had great adoptions this weekend: Faith, Rain, Le Clerk and Griffin (for the fourth time.)

And today a nice couple came in and adopted Carly who didn't even make it to the Safe website! 

We were kept busy with the usual business plus having to bottle feed Savannah's adopted little one. All that handling was a good opportunity to decide what its sex is. She is a girl. So she was immediately named Sybie after Helen's aunt. By the end of the day she weighted 300gm.

Incoming population explosion

 We have kittens.

Savannah and her Sebastian have been with us for a fortnight or so. But now they have another kitten. It was one of Elle's. The rest of her litter died so it was decided that the remaining kitten might have a better chance with Savannah. Sebastian is cooperating . . ..  for now.

 There are three together in one condo who must be a mixed litter because two are bigger and shyer than the smallest tortie. The tortie is Rose and the others are Salt and Pepper . . . one male, one female.

 Bubble's five were on the bottom level this morning. They are usually in the upper bed box. I lifted them back because they couldn't jump up two levels but they didn't eat today. Neither did Bubble.
