Five in Playplace

There are five kittens in the play place. They are all playing together and seem much happier now. Especially at meal times.

Bagheera, Rama, George, Samuel and Bear.. . . . not necessarily in that order

There were adoptions over the weekend. Tulip and Tilly have moved into Mallee's condo.

I moved Prime into Hui Hui's condo to give him more room. And three kittens came out of the stand alone in incoming to be next door to Bassuria and Julie (who looks even thinner this week.

I had a shock when I opened the Isolation door this afternoon. Minty's mate Rascal's door was wide open. He was nowhere to be seen. I opened his bedbox door. There he was . . . . hissing at me.

Minty doesn't hiss as much

There were 14 of us workers at Safehaven today. Which meant the work was finished early and the vollies got to play with the kittens.

Last (of) Tango in Roseville

A couple of women came this afternoon to adopt a pair of kittens. One of the two has just moved to Sydney and was the primary adopter. She looked at everybody until she got to Tango and then fell deeply in love. It was mutual, of course. Tango is a loving fellow. They decided to come back for a companion for him when he, and she, settles down in Sydney. (They rather liked Mia!)

Within half an hour somebody else rang to ask about him.

And within that half hour we had cleaned/sterilized his condo and moved Leo into it. He was a bit startled but willing. Perhaps he was thrilled to move away from the lingering smell in his condo in Incoming. That has been taken care of as you can tell from his shaved rear. His place as the love boat in Incoming has been taken over by Storm who was brought in today by a fosterer. She said that he is as easy as pie. She trimmed his nails at the stop lights on their trip to us. He put his paws towards her out of the carrier and she snipped.

Mateo was picked up at 8am (thank you Kym) for his three balls operation: one eyeball and two testicles. The planning for his pickup went array so I got to leave early to go to Manly Vale to collect him. He was as good as gold in the car and is in Boarding above Ashley.

Mateo
His four siblings will go down the Boarding row when they have had their desex ops. The stand alone in Incoming is needed for another group.

I moved Tulip and Tilly to Better Row because a family of possibly ringwormy kittens was expected at 11:30am. Thank you Sophie for scrubbing the stand alone in Isolation. The four kittens did arrive and look exhausted. We will see how they progress. And Tilly says that she will regress while Tulip is just fine with the new digs.

On my way out (the second time) I spotted Lola making love to her fluffy blankie. She stopped, of course, as soon as I pointed my camera at her.

Bottled kitten

I made room on the top shelf of the laundry shelves by putting the ping pong balls into the toy drawers and consolidating other toys. There are two piles of towels there now.

I was going to throw the large plastic pot that the ping pong balls came in but was distracted by holding kitten duty while the Palace was cleaned. Tom Claws decided to climb into the pot. Later Hui Hui climbed in and Tim W carried her to show what a clever girl she is.

So that is why the pot is in the Palace. They have all that space and choose to be confined!

Hui Hui is the lightest of the three and needs to be encouraged to eat. Tulip in Isolation with Tilly doesn't need encouragement to eat but she has a blocked nostril (R) and wheezes. I had to move GG and Teddy because the hinge on their condo 6 failed.

But because kittens have been adopted I moved various cats.

Nova is where Missy used to be. She stayed at ground level all afternoon. I wonder if, having only one functioning eye, she finds 3D difficult.

Next door, in "Lola's stand alone" is Celine Dion. She got the jumping from level to level without any problem. The two boys (Cheesecake and Waffle) were the quickest adoption ever because Sue gave the new owner the folder of info yesterday. She took it home and read it thoroughly.

I also moved Annabelle and Emily into Welfare. They settled down very well.

And Kyle has settled down very nicely. He is such a friendly cat but very difficult to get a photo of because he is completely black.

A woman visited and fell in love with Chad. She may be back.

Another woman visited and feels that Suki might be good for her but has had experience with Siamese who pee in public before so thinks she should foster to adopt to see if they can live happily together.
