Mickey
Mickey at Safe
1 day: He's going really well, just started eating and exploring.
1 month: He's very well, very settled.
Patch and Lily
2 days: They are both settling in quite well. Patch is a bit more adventurous and is already sitting on their owners’ knees. Patch is eating well and has used the litter tray but they haven’t seen Lily eat or use the litter tray. Lily is still hiding and goes straight back to her hiding place when they pick her up. They think it will take longer for Lily to settle in but are happy to wait until she’s ready.
Patch aka Patty |
3 days: Patch (who has been nicknamed Patty) is quite happy running around. She loves cuddles and voluntarily jumps onto their knees and settles down if their owners tap their lag. Lily is still shy and loves to hide behind the curtains or in her cat box in their safe room. They leave their safe room door open so they can come and go whenever they wish. “They are two beautiful cats with very gentle dispositions no biting or scratching. We are very much in love with them already”
5 days: They are making great progress with Lily. She has responded very well to her owners and is now coming voluntarily on their knees for cuddles. They both still have their safe room to go to if they wish, and they put them in there at bedtime so they feel safe. Their owner has also started building a cat podium for them both.
Lily |
9 days: Their cat podium has been finished. Patty is happy playing and Lily has claimed her space in the hidey hole.
1 month: They are both fine and settled in very well. Patty now goes outside on her own through the cat flap but Lily is not brave enough yet. “She needs more time.” Patty does not go outside at night as they lock the cat flap. They live on the top floor of a 4-storey building and have a large terrace with plenty of space to play in. Both cats are very safe as they do not have any contact with other cats. “They are 2 beautifully
natured cats and we love them to bits”. It took 1.5 hours for the owners to register them both at the council.
