Had to take DH to the eye doc again this morning so was very late. Luckily for us all, Catsie did the poo run and took 3 trolley loads of poo bags out to the bins. When I arrived the bins hadn't been emptied. So I am doubly grateful to Catsie! There were even room for this mornings bags before they were collected this afternoon. So we are clean.
I even swept the balcony. There were small round things which I suspect were pupated maggots. I swept them into an emptied, velcro-sealed food bag. The flies, if they hatch, will not escape from there!
The most exciting thing to happen today was that Mia got her scratchy pole inserted (into her enclosure). She declined to be lifted up to be put into a carrier. So we emptied a box of small litter bags and put it over her. We added a non-emptied box of the same and put that on top of the box. She still tried to push her way out but I held the side in position so she couldn't worm her way out and sent calming vibes down my finger tips while Geoff scrambled around readjusting bolts and nuts, repositioning the new scratchy pole and getting her all set up.
Even Sue got into the act! |
