Movements

I got a bit of a fright when I saw the "Please Clean" sign on Marmalade's condo. He hasn't been adopted. He has been moved to Willow's possie. The big blue gauntlets were needed and he sulked when he got there. But he accepted some crunchies later when I arrived having picked up a load of litter (which is the news you wanted to hear!) It wasn't until I had almost finished sterilizing his old condo that Tim mentioned that they had trouble moving Chinchilla too. It still has the "Please Clean" sign. Chinchilla has gone to live with Irene for a while. Lucky girl. On Wednesday I noticed a hard wad of hairball between Katie's front legs. I tried to comb it out but it was too stubborn. Tim sat in front of me with Katie on my lap and cut it out in bits and pieces. She loved the attention. Two servants are better than one any day.
There is a new cat called Bell. She comes from the same colony at Canley Vale that Bosely came from. Let's hope that she is as charming. BUT, she needs an e at the end of her name. Being ginger she will be mistaken for a boy without the e.
Robyn dropped by with some special food for Big Ginge. He was pleased.
She also chose a name for Angelique's sister . . . . Amber. Which is another bodice ripper name. Ashleigh didn't look keen but Amber looked angelic.
There was a program on TV last night that stated that it is hard to read the expressions on cat's faces because they don't have as many muscles as most animals do. But these cats all have different expressions.

Bos at home

The folk who adopted Bosley sent photos to show just how easily and well he has settled into their family. His favourite pose is to stretch out, full length on his back on somebody's legs with a beatific smile on his face. Ask Tim to show you the photos. And to show the photos of Lynette in her new home. She seems very happy watching squirrels and birds on the computer and cuddling up to her man on the couch.

Adam was collected. Eve cheered as he left. I moved his toys to her wheely cage and moved his cage away.

Eve

A woman came in to compare her and Kimmi as a suitable companion. She chose Kimmi and will be back on Friday to finalise the deal.

A pair of cats, Fred (shorthaired ginger at rear) and George (outgoing, medium haired ginger at front) were surrendered. I had a call from their previous owner who passed them onto a friend when she moved but now that they have been surrendered to us, she worries that they might be separated, or unhappy, or lost track of. She will visit next week.

George (and Fred in the background).

I removed the handbags from Cookie and TIm Tam's condo because they were flat and the cats were sitting on hard, cold shelves looking soulful. I added a nice big bed. But should have put a rug in it because the Burmese has disappeared.

Cookie and Tim Tam

Wendy was brought in to have her stitches removed. I remembered how to do it from Peggy days. Although, the method of stitching has changed to a double twist so I had to learn on the job, so to speak. She is much loved. Her new name is Suki.
I carried her to Willow's condo. Neither was impressed. Why does Willow still have a collar? Because it suits her?

Willow

Lily's babies are getting bigger than her. Her appetite is growing as fast as they are.

Lily

Just as I was about to leave (a couple of minutes after 4pm), Steph arrived with her four cats. She is to go to Tweed Heads and we get to meet her fur babies. Two boys and two girls: in the corner beyond Nom. Steph wondered if Linda would remember them and be comforted by their presence. Perhaps she could be moved to the condo above them to receive their rising auras. Linda had an enema yesterday because she hasn't poo'd for 6 days. She hardly ate anything today. But she did get lots of love.

Sandy reports: The Bos has left

Just had to tell you the The “Bos” ie Bosely has left the building, isn’t that wonderful.

Adam has been adopted but was  still there this morning,

Adam

Poor “Baby” has a weird eye. Looks like a contact lens has slipped down and the whole eye is looking a bit cataracty.
Clear eyed Baby

Liz was on Grandma duties again and the other lady didn’t turn up cos she had to take her sick daughter for a covid test!
Left the Quarantine ones for Tim to do and he said he would probably remember them when he was leaving!

The Young Ones

All Willow's kittens have now been adopted. As well as the last two (Harold and Hayley) of Harriet's. And Bowie  . . . . of course, as he was the littleist. Leonard and Larry (Lucia's kittens) are still in quarantine with the ringworm. They are full of energy. One was chasing his tail so energetically that he fell off the shelf.
Another photo missed was when one of Lily's kittens climbed onto her back for a piggyback.
Bosely is everybody's favourite. . . . he is the boss-cat.
Bosley

Poor Angus had to put up with hammering from next door or above today. It put him off his breakfast.

Angus

Adam and Eve were not getting on in a condo together. So they are in separate, but adjacent, wheely cages. Adam is much more interactive and engaging. Eve is more reserved.

 Morty looks good with pink.

Morty

Milky just looks good. He is a honey of a cat.

Milky

But Tara still doesn't want to know. . . . anybody.

Midnight adopted

As soon as she stopped yelling, she got adopted. I hope she doesn't yell when she gets to her new home.

. . . . excuse the strange photos. See below. . . .

A kitten, white with very few, tabby makings was surrendered today. An older woman found him and took him in. But he is only about 4 months old and is full of play so she was scratched and bitten. After four rounds of antibiotics, for her, she decided that a kitten is not what she needs. He came will a pile of toys and many varieties of food so was a thoroughly spoiled. Nevertheless, he seems very sweet and he name is Bowie.

Bowie
We separated Morty from under his brothers. He has gone into Buffy's condo so that he can see them across the aisle. Within a very short period he was out in his big space. When I offered him treats, he ate them from my fingers even though he didn't want to be patted,
Morty

Lynette wanted to be patted. . . lots and lots, thank you. Her tail is quite short (not as short as WIllow's) but is very stout when she is happy.

I washed Bosley's face but it didn't make much difference. He thoroughly enjoyed the attention. . . such a wussy puss.

The W kittens will finish their medication tomorrow so I set up their wheely cage for them. It will be mayhem.

My camera ran out of battery so I took photos with my phone. Can't sync the phone to the computer. Emailed each photo to myself but none have arrived. Any tips for getting photos off an android onto a Mac will be gratefully received.
I recharged the camera battery and took photos of the mobile phone screen. Hence the arty-looking photos.

More include:
Diamond and Hera are much more in evidence since they have a quarantine sign and nobody is fussing with them.
Hera and Diamond
Charley has been moved to "adopt now" aisle. He is listed as a Himalayan/Ragdoll cross. But he is very cross at being with us and specialises in spits.

Charley
Whereas Octavia's special face is "I do not trust any human". Even those who bring gifts of dental crunchies.

Octavia

I tried to get separate photos of Haley and Harold but it was difficult to pry them apart. We really need to get them used to people smells on their bodies.
Haley
Quatro is a little shy still but her purr is bigger than she is so that it is a pleasure to spend time with her.

New faces

We may become the shelter for shy/stray cats if this week's new faces are anything to go by.

Behind complete blackout modesty cloths are Leopold and a pregnant mum. The mum is the one who should have come when Chevy arrived. He has gone to foster somewhere. But there are 2 kittens in semi-modesty, but without names:
"Kitten 4 months"

"Kitten 8 months"

Perhaps they could be called Quartro and Octavius.

Another of Harriet's kittens, Heidi, was adopted. One of the remaining boys has an EOI. They cuddled together on their smaller hammock.
Henry, Harold, Haley

Bosely is back from his op and not feeling very well. Shumai was vet checked and has a heart murmur. Saxon is still having his water consumption monitored. He doesn't look like a nine year old.

Saxon
Nam is upset by his neighbour next door, Midnight who was surrendered for any number of reasons. She is only 1 or 2 and is loud. But the cat below who is a screecher is more upsetting to the cats, and to the gaunletted Tim. Didn't try for a photo of him/her or even to clean his/her litter tray
MidnightNam

Kimi is back from 12 months foster. She is still shy.

Kimi and Jo photographing Kimi. Tim wants better photos of Diva and Sienna for the website. Joy took hundreds by enticing them to play. (I replaced their old carry cage/bed with an identical one which is not hairy or wet (yet)/

Sienna and Diva

Should a collection of shy cats be called a blush of cats or a skitter of kitties?
Late yesterday afternoon Pepi was adopted. Hurrah.

Another ragdoll

This one, I don't know where he came from, is between 1 and 2 yo. He is a bit confused and hisses but is very happy to be made a fuss of. I thought he was a tortie because he as a gingerish blob on the back of his head. He has lovely blue eyes.

Shumai
Shumai are those dim sims that are open on top with pork inside and usually an orange garnish.

Shiba has had his name changed because Sheba is a girl's name and we only chose it because Shiba was written on the carrier he arrived in as well as his real name, Shifty. According to his microchip record, his original name was Saxon. . . . much better

Saxon

Because I did a litter run and so arrived fairly late, there was no work for me to do so I worked on the shy cats. The girl H kittens are almost OK with pats but the boys are both skittish.

I gave Buffy a good cuddle to check that she doesn't have any skin bumps after being on chicken for a week. . . . none felt and she seems much calmer/less famished. Fingers crossed. Her new person calls every week to know when she can come home.

I played ball with Sienna but she didn't want to be patted. Diva is happy to be patted but is getting very thin while Sienna looks sleek and plump. Perhaps they should be separated.

Lynette was in the mood for pats. Her tail is really thick and rather short. She is shaping up well.

 Lynette

I met Bosley for the first time. What a charmer he is! He is from a colony in Cambelltown. I suppose he has been desexed (after maturation from the size of his head) but he is pretty roughed up with a scratched nose and smells a bit. I hope he does a Peanut and cleans himself up. He has an interesting set of vocalisations! And he is as friendly as he can be.
Bosley

Jasmine is super friendly too. Get your cuddles in soon because she won't last long. She has a white spot on the tip of her nose that just begs to be kissed.
